Shipping Updates

As mentioned previously, the Epic Legacy Campaign Codex (Standard Print) has shipped to all backers at all locations. If you have not yet received yours, please let us know in the comments below and we'll get in touch to track down your order and ensure it gets to you.

Deluxe Versions

Deluxe delays continue. We are currently looking at an end-of-March 2021 delivery. So sorry for the trouble here. 

We're hoping to make this up to you somewhat, though, with some unique content in preparation for the subsequent Epic Legacy project, the Epic Legacy Tome of Titans. For this project, as most we create, we'll be developing a promotional PDF showcasing several notable mythic monsters from the book. For *only* deluxe backers of the Epic Legacy Campaign Codex and Epic Legacy Tome of Titans, we'll be providing print versions of the Tomeof Titans promo, in advance of the book's publication, at no additional cost. We know this doesn't make up for the lack of Epic Legacy Campaign Codex, and we do apologize for the delays on this front and thank you for your continued patience.

If you'd like to make any adjustments to your orders, please let us know and we'll coordinate with you on those.

Project Status Update

As all portions of this project have been delivered with the exception of the Deluxe prints, this week won't feature a Project Status graphic. There's been no appreciable change on the graphic since last month.

Next-Steps and Deliverable Estimates

The The next Kickstarter update for this project will be December 13, 2020 or earlier.

Epic Legacy Campaign Codex (Deluxe Prints): March, 2021

As mentioned above, our current estimates for the Deluxe Epic Legacy Campaign Codex prints will be towards the end of March. This includes shipment to the US, then signing and shipping to backers from the US location. Again, our apologies for the delay.

Epic Legacy Tome of Titans: January, 2021

The third and final "Core Book" of the Epic Legacy series, the Tome of Titans will launch on Kickstarter in early January, with a quick turnaround. We're extremely excited to be working with a collection of phenomenal writers and artists including those of WebDM, Venture Maidens, and Sina Una fame, alongside others we've worked with in the past. This project will feature some of the most-iconic, powerful, and memorable monsters from collections of classic and D&D mythology - true pillars of myth and legend embodied in Epic (and non-Epic) form. We'll have far more updates on this in our next Kickstarter update.

Shipping & Delivery Update - Standard Editions

The Epic Legacy Campaign Codex (Standard Print) has shipped to all backers at all locations. If you have not yet received yours, please let us know in the comments below and we'll get in touch to track down your order and ensure it gets to you.

Project Status Update

In the interest of increased transparency and better communication, we are working to construct a more reliable system of delivery for updates and progress status. As such, in updates moving forward we'll be including both a specific date for the next update (November 8th in the "Next-Steps and Deliverable Estimates" section, below), and a project status graphic to showcase our progress. Please find the October 10, 2020 project status below:

Writing: Includes all writing, revision, and copy editing.

Art: Includes ideation, drafting, revisions, and finals.

Formatting: includes style development, formatting for digital and print release(s), formatting for alternate versions and presentations.

Fulfillment: Includes packing, inventory, collecting backer information, shipping, and validation.

Overall: Is an average of the previous categories. Note this is not emblematic of the remaining work, as time and effort required for writing and art often far exceeds that for formatting and fulfillment.

Next-Steps and Deliverable Estimates

The next Kickstarter update for this project will be November 8, 2020 or earlier.

Epic Legacy Campaign Codex (Standard Prints): Delivered

These should be delivered for all backers. If there are issues, please let us know in the comments below, and we'll work with you get this resolved!

Epic Legacy Campaign Codex (Deluxe Prints): TBD

Unfortunately, the Deluxe Prints of Epic Legacy are still pending. We are working with a new printer on these (we'll be moving forward with this printer for *all* versions of books in the future), but the logistics and scheduling behind this are taking longer than expected. We will have a timeframe on delivery of these by the next Kickstarter Update on November 8, 2020.

Campaign Codex - Print Update

A brief update here with information about printing shipping the Epic Legacy Campaign Codex. Our apologies for the silence recently - we have been at work on this, but haven't made that clear.

Non-US Orders (Standard Edition): These should have shipped and been received.

If you have not received your copy, please let us know and we'll coordinate with you to track down the order and resolve this.

US-Orders (Standard Edition): You should receive these by September 13.

In further conversation with the new printer with whom we're working, we identified the estimated delivery of November for our receipt of these prints. This was too long, so we've made some recent adjustments. We've elected to continue with our previous printer for these and plan additional time for the new printer on projects moving forward or requiring the extra quality increase the new printer will provide.

As such, we have ordered all ~350 standard prints from our previous printer. We expect to receive those by August 28, and expect to have these fully shipped to US locations by September 6. If you haven't received them by September 13 (about two weeks after our estimate from our previous update), please reach out and we'll track this down.

Our apologies for the additional delay on this.

Deluxe Edition: We are currently planning for late November for delivery of the Deluxe Editions.

For these, we remain excited and optimistic about working with the new printer. As mentioned before, there will be a notable quality improvement, including foil stamping, debossing, and binding. That said, the delay on this is pretty egregious, and for that we do apologize. 

If you had picked up a deluxe print and want to adjust your order, please reach out.

Non-Epic Legacy Prints: These should have shipped and been received.

If you haven't received something you're expecting from your order, please let us know and we'll track the order down and resolve the issue ASAP.

Thank you again for bearing with us as we work through this. While some delays have stemmed from COVID and others from switching to the new printer, there have absolutely been delays on our end that have slowed this process. We thoroughly understand that printing, shipping, and 3PL have been a weakness of ours for a long time now, and we continue to work on improving the process. Thank you for your support.

Digital Delivery, Print & Merch Updates

Hello Nexians!

Thanks to your generous support the Epic Legacy Campaign Codex is complete and released digitally as of a few hours ago! We are so pleased to bring the final digital presentation of the book (after a couple of final editing passes and incorporation of your identified errata). You should have both received an email from Backerkit with the download information, and be able to find it on your digital downloads page here: https://elcc.backerkit.com/backer/digital_rewards

This version is the final PDF for the Epic Legacy Campaign Codex, including numbered index and the Legacy Epic Character Sheet at the back. This character sheet will be available in form-fillable format through Backerkit in the near future. For now, though, it should be available to print and fill in for your games in-person!

Prints - Delays

With the digital copies in hand, we are able to move to the printer. We are expecting non-US orders for the Epic Legacy Campaign Codex (standard edition) in-hand by the end of June. We expect US orders for the Epic Legacy Campaign Codex (standard edition), and all versions of the Epic Legacy Campaign Codex (Deluxe Edition), by the end of August. Let's break this down a little.

First, this deliverable is clearly behind schedule, and for that we do apologize. Though we suspect this was somewhat related to the current world events, more of this burden falls on our shoulders and we do apologize for the inconvenience of an additional wait, and thank you for your continued patience.

We are introducing a new printer for our US-based and deluxe prints of our books moving forward. To maintain the capacity to print and ship within the EU, and to those other regions outside the US, we will continue to use our existing printer - allowing the 1 1/2 - month estimate.

Our new printer, though taking longer, allows us to dramatically increase product quality for comparable cost, buying in bulk (rather than print on demand from our current printer). We are expecting a notable upgrade to the product, which, for future books, we will work to enable for international customers as well. The Deluxe Prints of the product will also benefit from this upgrade, including additional texturing on select areas of the cover, higher-quality interior print, embossing, and foil stamping. We are incredibly excited for this marked increase in quality.

Again, however, we apologize for the delays, and for the unusual shipping for this project. Please let us know if there are any concerns, and we will work to address them.

Other Merchandise - Refunds

In review of the project, we came to the unfortunate conclusion that we were unable to deliver on several merchandise items available through the Add-Ons in Backerkit. We were unable to bring the Dice Bags, Wood Boxes, and DM Screens to the level of quality we require for the products at a reasonable price point, and have refunded the cost of these items +10% to the accounts of those who ordered them. Those who have been refunded should see the refund for their entire order return to their previous card, then a charge for the items in the order, less the amount of the refund. As before, our apologies. Let us know if there are any issues.

Epic Legacy Campaign Codex Released!

Hey everyone, big news! As of today the Epic Legacy Campaign Codex is nearly complete, missing only a few components:

• A few finalized art pieces
• A final slug proof review by our copy editor.

Because the slug proof will take some time (at least a couple weeks), rather than make you wait we have elected to make the ELCC available for download in PDF today (through Backerkit) as a PREVIEW of the release! Please keep in mind this is not the final product. There are still planned changes, a final copy editing pass for typos and wording issues, and art pieces to be included/finalized. Once the finalized version is released after the proofread and any errata the community catches, we will ping you all/update all download links so you can easily acquire the final version.

If you catch anything you think needs addressing before final release PLEASE LET US KNOW! The best way to communicate any observable issues is via our discord server, where we have set up a special errata channel we have set up to collect any issues spotted by diligent eyes. We are going to be spending this time getting the book as perfect as we possibly can. 

Hardcovers When?

Once we have finished the slug proof and received our final art pieces, we will move to sent printing previews to our team. Once those have finished and passed quality control, we can begin shipping in March, to hit the projected schedule of April.
